I think the yellow puss? Hardenened skin? Should be emphasized a little more on the toenails, and the last pinky toe should look smoother (as though covered by a hard layer of skin) and yellowish (unhealthy looking). Other than that this is great! In it's own, anatomically accurate and creepily disgusting way of course
I think I've seen diabetic gangrene before (several hours of watching such related topics inadvertently on Supersize vs. Superskinny via YouTube)... aren't they suppose to look a bit more purple-ish than gray-ish? Dare I ask what a REAL visually documented DAG looks like
Ho-kay, I can't remember ever seeing THAT mess And I'm afraid that might happen to my dad (hasn't happened yet as far as I know, but I don't have a lot of faith in that idiot for taking care of his health).
The ones I remember seeing is generally the swelling of the feet, looking purple, and maybe a missing toe or two...
Yeah, this is just one person's experience with it, I've seen other kinds of tissue necrosis too and some of those are just horrible :/
It's really horrible when you know someone who is going through it, one of my cousins had two of his toes removed because of his diabetes. It's scary stuff. But at the same time it makes you realise how amazing the human body is and how we must take care of it.
Yeah at this point you'd be dead. Mortification of a wound that big would be enough to not only infect other cells and travel up the leg, by now you'd be poisoned to a lethal degree from the bacteria in the rotting flesh. Why do I come here to comment about it? My grandfather died of this very same "Special effect" you put here. (Its actually very convincing, I was scared to click the image for several minutes because i was afraid it wasnt a special effect)
I still wish he'd just let them cut his foot off though. ;_; I miss him. *hugs the Turtle*
